Diversity

As a woman-owned business, and certified minority-owned business in multiple states, Slice values diversity in the workplace. We are committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce, and we recognize it as one of our core strengths. Slice is an equal opportunity employer, and does not discriminate on the basis of actual, or perceived, race, creed, color, religion, alienage, or nation origin, ancestry, citizenship status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws.

Our Commitment

Slice takes the broadest possible view of diversity. We value the visible, and invisible, qualities that make you who you are. It's the pride, dedication, and care one demonstrates through their work that is important as a team.

We celebrate that every person brings a unique perspective and experience to our own culture. We serve many different companies, all with different requirements. To be successful, we need ideas generated from as many points of view as possible. We’ve integrated diversity, equity, and inclusion practices into our day-to-day work. We believe that with EDI (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) mindfulness, one will naturally bring their best self into the workplace.

Slice commits to using these practices for our business, and encourages employees to apply them to their own communities. By doing our part, we’re hastening the move to a new era where EDI will no longer be a requirement, but a vital part of every successful business

Our Understanding

eq·ui·ty

/ˈekwədē/

the act of promoting justice, impartiality and fairness within the procedures, processes, and distribution of resources by institutions or systems.

We commit to working actively to challenge and respond to innate bias and discrimination. We dedicate ourself to a policy of equal opportunity for all persons and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, marital status, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, mental health status, disability, religion, height, weight, or veteran status. We are deeply aware of the root causes of inequity, and we work to the extent of our resources to combat it.

di·ver·si·ty

/dəˈvərsədē,dīˈvərsədē/

the presence of differences that may include race, gender, religion, sexual

orientation, ethnicity, nationality, socioeconomic status, language, (dis)ability, age, or religious commitment.

We commit to promoting and advocating for diversity, in its myriad forms. We not only want, but need, as diverse a team as possible to create the best possible solutions for our clients. We believe it is vital to consider things from every perspective available - and the more, the merrier.

in·clu·sion

/inˈklo͞oZHən/

the state of ensuring everyone is, and feels, that they are welcomed, to the degree that all individuals are able to participate fully in the decision-making processes and development opportunities within an organization or group.

We commit to pursuing deliberate efforts to ensure that our company is a place where differences are welcomed, different perspectives are heard often and respectfully, and where every individual feels a sense of belonging and inclusion. We know that by creating a vibrant climate of inclusiveness, we can more effectively leverage the important resource that diversity fuels advancing our collective capabilities.

Our approach to EDI is simple - it’s about embracing everyone for the good they bring.

Best IT Team | DiversityQ | 2022

Slice was recognized due to its women-led, and overall diverse team developing a new model of on demand Wi-Fi. Slice’s approach addresses inequities in wireless connectivity and gives users/owners the control not just the monopolistic Carriers who are reaping in all the benefits.  Slice continues to demonstrate its success with three major airport wins, and over 100,000,000 users on its leading WiSNET platform. Slice is a glowing example proving Diversity fuels the catalyst for change as we are excelling over our billion dollar-backed competitors. Jo-Anne was selected out of an elite group of candidates from Fortune 500 companies, such as Intel, CISCO, Bank of America, Hewlett Packard and Allstate. Which, ironically, are some of the same products and services integrated into her projects.
